The Silver Creek 000 is a small bodied 14 fret all solid wood guitar made from spruce and rosewood or mahogany in the style of Martin's 000-18 and 000-28 Auditorium guitars. It has a 24.9 inch scale length and 1 3/4" neck with a D profile, making it an excellent choice for fingerstyle players.

Silver Creek guitars are factory made guitars from China. They are made of high quality solid woods with very good fit and finish. These instruments provide a great value for the price; however, they come from the factory with generally god-awful setups, sometimes to the point of being unplayable. 'No Problem,' we thought. 'We can fix that.' So we ordered a bunch of these guitars from our pals at Musician's Friend and went to work on them.

First our luthier hand carved and bound a very comfortable armrest bevel in the style of famed builder Kevin Ryan. Next he gave each instrument the setup that these quality all solid wood guitars deserve: nut slots are filed down to a comfortable level, the two-way truss rod is adjusted to dial in just the right amount of neck relief, the frets are lightly dressed to take out any high spots, the saddle is lowered to give great low action with no buzzing, and finally the saddle is shaped and compensated to give perfect intonation. The result of all of this work is an incredibly comfortable guitar which sounds and plays better than guitars costing thousands more, delivering again on the Shabby Chic promise of superior tone, playability, and comfort for a fraction of the price of other guitars.
