Solid Ebony Telecaster-style electric with vintage appointments and modern electronics: Sold

On a bit of a lark I made this Tele-style guitar in solid Macassar ebony with all Fender modern electronics and vintage style Fender hardware. I'm glad I did... it turned out to be a striking instrument that plays and sounds brilliantly. To keep weight down (ebony is very heavy!) the body is heavily chambered, and the neck is quite thin. It weighs in at a respectable 8-3/4 lbs. The pickups are genuine Fender alnico V pickups as found on modern Teles. Tuners are Fender Kluson-style. Frets are medium. Bridge is Fender vintage-style with compensated brass saddles. Finish is gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer. There is a two-way truss rod and an extra 22nd fret as found on modern American Standard Teles. A bone nut, mother of pearl dot fret markers, and ebony knobs round out this incredible and unique instrument. This guitar was completed in November 2012 and has been played at the shop, but shows virtually no wear. Hardshell case is included, as is insured shipping to the lower 48. International buyers please inquire for a shipping quote.
